Established in 1984 in the small town of Poquoson, Virginia, The Office Group, Inc. (DBA: Stephens Office Supply) served local customers faithfully. In the summer of 1996 the current management took over the small business and began what would become a quick and efficient growth pattern that continues to this day. With big ideas, dedication, and the ability to learn and change, this small retail store transformed into one of the largest independently owned and operated suppliers of office products to the military and federal government. The Office Group has always focused on retaining the values, goals, and commitment that built the company.

The Office Group, Inc. is located in the heart of one of the largest areas of federal impact in the United States and the largest concentration of military bases and facilities of any metropolitan area in the world. Nearby, all five branches of the military operate as well as two major research laboratories including NASA Langley Research Center and Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility as well as many other federal facilities. It is natural that the government would become the largest customer of The Office Group, Inc.
