Offline Credit Card Storage.

Stephens Office Supply recognizes the importance of Internet security and has devoted a great deal of time and effort to ensure that your information is secure.  Because of some base operation procedures, and because of the reluctance of many of our users to enter credit card information online, we implemented a site that can allow you to maintain your credit card information in our off-line system.   If you opt for this capability, you will not be asked for your credit card information while on our site.   Once you final submit your order, for verification purposes, you will be shown the last four digits of your card and expiration date  We will automatically charge the credit card that we have stored on our off-line systems.  Our on-line system does not access our off-line system to determine your card number and expiration date, that information is manually transferred.

If opt for this payment method and you are a new customer to Stephens Office Supply and/or we do not have your credit card information you will need to provide the information prior to shipment of your order.   

There are several options for you to provide your credit card information to us, you may call us during our normal working hours (0800-1800 hours eastern time) - or you can fax us the information. The fax machine listed is in a secure, monitored location.    We strongly urge you not to send your credit card information via unencrypted e-mail, it is not secure, and should not be used for sensitive information.  If you wish to send encrypted e-mail we strongly recommend the use of PGP encryption however, we will need a copy of your public key to un-encrypt the e-mail.  Any e-mail sent in this manner should be sent to customer-support@theofficestore.com.

• If you are already a Stephens Office Supply customer, and have indicated that you would like us to keep your credit card information in our off-line systems, you do not need to fill out the form again.

• Because of this process it is imperative that you maintain your Stephens Office Supply Internet Ordering system Account information private.

On-line Credit Card Transactions: 

Stephens Office Supply has implemented an SSL Certificate with Comodo - one of the leaders in Certificate Authority security.   The certificate we have implemented is an EV certificate (which shows a green validation in the address bar when you view the pages with Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher).   The certificate is 1024 bit encryption, which will slow down the initial loading of the login and credit card screens while your computer negotiates with our server to encrypt the data.  The data is not only encrypted during transaction, it is also encrypted when utilized by our system.
